Eligibility

  • GIMS is an autonomous institute under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, at Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
  • All 100 posts are Staff Nurse on a regular basis, with grade pay ₹4,600 and basic pay ₹44,900.
  • Category-wise split: Unreserved 40, OBC 27, SC 21, EWS 10 and ST 2.
  • Horizontal reservation applies as prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh — among them 5 posts for Divyangjan (OL, one leg affected) and 4 for dependants of freedom fighters.
  • Qualification route one: B.Sc Nursing, a four-year course, from an Indian Nursing Council or State Medical Faculty recognised institute or university, or B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic), a two-year course, from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute or university; together with registration as Nurse and Midwife with a State or the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Qualification route two: a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute, board or council; registration as Nurse and Midwife with a State or the Indian Nursing Council; and two years of experience in a hospital of at least 50 beds acquired after the above qualification.
  • The decisive date for calculating age is 1 July. A candidate must have attained 21 years and must not be more than 40.
  • Persons dismissed by the Union Government or any State Government are not eligible for appointment to any post in the service.
  • Selection is through a Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination 2026.
  • The brochure asks candidates to confirm they hold the qualifications and are within the age limit before starting the application form.
  • A candidate who does not meet the qualifications, or who gives wrong information or conceals facts, is responsible for the consequences, and the appointing authority reserves the right to cancel the candidature at any stage.

  5. If you are claiming horizontal reservation, pay according to your own base category rather than the horizontal one.
  6. Take a printout of the submitted application form and keep it.
