- Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) for every post in this notice.
- SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs need a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Final-year students may apply, but must hold the degree on or before the closing date for applications — not merely by the exam date.
- SI (Fire) in CISF needs a B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; alternatively matriculation plus a three-year diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- Vacancy numbers are described as tentative in the notice and may be revised.
- Candidates selected for SI in CAPFs are liable to serve anywhere in India.
How to Apply
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in. An OTR created on the old ssc.nic.in site will not work — it has to be redone on the new portal.
- Log in and open the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPF Examination 2026 application. You can also apply through the mySSC mobile app.
- Opt for Aadhaar-based authentication if you can. Applications submitted this way are protected from rejection over photograph and signature formatting.
- The form captures a live photograph through your camera — you cannot upload an existing one. Sit in good light, face the camera at eye level, and remove any cap or spectacles.
- Upload your signature as a JPEG of 10–20 KB, roughly 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high.
- Pay the ₹100 fee online unless you are exempt. An unpaid application is marked Incomplete and is rejected outright.
- Preview the form before submitting, then save a printout. The Commission advises keeping it for at least three years.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the last date to apply for SSC CPO SI 2026?
Online applications close on 30 September 2026 at 11:00 PM. Fee payment stays open one extra day, until 11:00 PM on 1 October 2026.
Do women candidates have to pay the fee?
No. Women candidates are exempt, as are SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates eligible for reservation. Everyone else pays ₹100.
I made a mistake in my form. Can I fix it?
Yes, during the correction window from 8 to 10 October 2026. You get two corrections: the first costs ₹200 and the second ₹500. After the window closes no change is possible in any form.
Can a final-year student apply?
Yes, but the degree must be in hand on or before the closing date for applications, not just before the examination.
Is my old SSC registration still valid?
Not if it was created on the old ssc.nic.in site. The notice states that OTR from the old website will not function and must be generated again on ssc.gov.in.
