SSC Stenographer Grade C & D 2026 — Tentative Answer Key Out, Mangal Font Made Mandatory for Skill Test

Short Information

SSC has uploaded the tentative answer key and each candidate's own question-paper-cum-response-sheet for the Computer Based Examination of Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination 2026, held from 9 to 12 September and again on 15 September 2026. The objection window runs from 23 to 26 September 2026 at a reduced fee of ₹50 per question. Separately, the Commission has added a rule to the Notice that catches candidates off guard: anyone opting for Hindi in the Typing/Skill Test must type only in Mangal Font — a script typed in any other font will not be evaluated and the candidate will be treated as not qualified, ending their candidature at that stage.

Eligibility

• Applies to candidates who appeared in the Computer Based Examination of Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination 2026.
• The sequence of questions and options in the challenge module differs from the actual exam — the challenge module uses one fixed sequence per shift, but each candidate's own selected answers are carried over accurately.
• The saved Question Paper is for personal use and self-analysis only, under an undertaking on the Challenge Management portal.
• Response Sheets will not be available for download after the objection window closes, and no individual request for them will be entertained afterwards.
• Separately, under an addendum to Para 15 of the original Notice (published 24 April 2026): candidates who opt for Hindi as the medium of the Typing/Skill Test must type in Mangal Font only. A script typed in any other font will not be evaluated, and such a candidate will be treated as not qualified in the Typing/Skill Test — ending their candidature for further stages of the recruitment.

How to Apply

1. Log in to the Challenge Management portal on ssc.gov.in using your Registration Number and Password.
2. Review the tentative answer key and your response sheet, and print the response sheet now if you want a copy.
3. Submit representations online only, from 23 September 2026 (11:00 PM) to 26 September 2026 (11:00 PM), paying ₹50 per question challenged.
4. Representations submitted after the window closes will not be entertained under any circumstances.
5. If you plan to attempt the Skill Test in Hindi, set your typing software to Mangal Font well before the test — a script in any other font will not be evaluated.
