Eligibility
- Senior Personal Assistant: a graduate from a recognised university, with a speed of not less than 110 words per minute in English shorthand and 40 words per minute in English typewriting on computer, and good working knowledge of computers.
- Personal Assistant: a graduate from a recognised university, with a speed of not less than 100 words per minute in English shorthand and 40 words per minute in English typewriting on computer, and good working knowledge of computers.
- Only candidates who hold the essential qualifications as on the last date of submission of online applications, 5 October 2026, need apply.
- Every educational qualification must be from a university, institution or board recognised by the Government of India or approved by a government regulatory body, and the final result must have been declared on or before the closing date.
- There is no vacancy under the General category for Personal Assistant. Every clause in the notice relating to the General category therefore applies only to Senior Personal Assistant.
- Applications are accepted only online — no offline application is entertained.
- Selection runs in stages. Stage I is a qualifying English typing test of ten minutes on computer, checking the minimum 40 words per minute. Only candidates who clear it are called for Stage II, the English shorthand tests.
- For Senior Personal Assistant the shorthand standard at Stage II is 110 words per minute.
- Every stage, including the typing and shorthand tests, has to be qualified individually. The Court states that no exemption from any stage is granted to any candidate, including those in the PwBD category, given the working conditions of the Court and the nature of the duties.
- Compensatory time is not granted in any part or stage of the examination for PwBD candidates.
- PwBD candidates are not entitled to relaxation in marks or examination fee on account of disability, and are governed by the criteria applicable to their own category — General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL or EWS — for shortlisting to the next stage.
- An application received without the prescribed fee is summarily rejected, and no representation against such rejection is entertained.
- Being allowed to appear in the examination does not mean eligibility has been verified; eligibility is subject to final verification by the competent authority.
- Applications are open to citizens of India and to subjects of Nepal, as per instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
- Vacancies advertised under the EWS category follow the instructions issued for that category.
- OBC candidates issued caste certificates from outside Delhi should read the notice's specific clause on that point.
