Eligibility
- The qualification is set post by post in the advertisement. For the Commercial Tax, Industrial Tribunal and Forest Development Corporation posts, it is Intermediate from the UP Board or Uttarakhand School Education Board (or equivalent), plus Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute and computer Hindi typing at 4,000 key depressions per hour.
- The Judicial & Legal Academy post needs Intermediate from the Uttarakhand Board or equivalent, a one-year certificate or diploma in shorthand and typing from a recognised institution, 4,000 key depressions per hour on computer, and shorthand at 80 wpm in Hindi and 100 wpm in English.
- Preference, other things being equal, goes to candidates with two years in the Territorial Army, an NCC 'B' or 'C' certificate, or a graduate/postgraduate degree (NSS 'B' certificate for some posts).
- Selection is in two stages: an offline objective written exam, then a qualifying typing and shorthand test for four times as many candidates as there are vacancies, picked on written-exam merit.
- Reservation (vertical and horizontal) is only for Uttarakhand domiciles. EWS certificates must be issued between 1 April 2026 and 14 October 2026 on 2025–26 income.
- Horizontal reservation: Uttarakhand women 30%, ex-servicemen 5%, freedom-fighter dependants 2%, Divyangjan 4%, orphans 5%, outstanding sportspersons 4%, state agitators 10%.
- Do not submit more than one online application for the same post — every application for that post will be rejected.
- Aadhaar is used for registration and can be used only once. Upload the photograph, signature and left thumb impression in the specified sizes.
How to Apply
- Download Advertisement 81/2026 from sssc.uk.gov.in and read the post-wise qualification for the post you want.
- Register with your Aadhaar number on the online application portal from 14 September 2026, using your own mobile number and email.
- Upload a photograph (150×200 px), signature (150×100 px) and left thumb impression (150×100 px) in JPG/JPEG, plus both sides of your Aadhaar and your high-school certificate for name and date-of-birth verification.
- Pay the fee online by 14 October 2026. The application is complete only when its status shows 'Completed'.
- Corrections can be made once, from 17 to 19 October 2026.
- Admit cards will be available only on the Commission's website, not by post.
