Eligibility
- PFRDA is a financial sector regulator established under the PFRDA Act 2013, with the mandate to promote, develop and regulate the pension sector in India.
- The pay scale in Grade A is ₹62,500-3600(4)-76,900-4050(7)-1,05,250-EB-4050(4)-1,21,450-4650(1)-1,26,100 over 17 years.
- At the minimum of the scale, gross emoluments including PFRDA's contribution to the National Pension System, grade allowance, special allowance, special grade allowance, dearness allowance, local allowance, family allowance, special compensatory allowance, learning allowance and housing allowance come to approximately ₹2,05,000 per month.
- Educational qualification and age are both reckoned as on 31 July 2026.
- A candidate must not have exceeded 30 years as on 31 July 2026, that is, must have been born on or after 1 August 1996.
- Reservation for PwBD is horizontal and within the overall vacancies. Where no suitable candidate with the advertised benchmark disability is available, the vacancy is filled under the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act.
- Separate online applications are required for each stream a candidate applies to, with the fee paid for each, except where the candidate is exempt from the fee.
- OBC, PwBD and EWS candidates must hold a current certificate from the competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India; the formats are on the PFRDA website.
- Selection runs in three phases — Phase I and Phase II are online examinations, and Phase III is an interview.
- In the General stream, Paper 2 of the examination carries multiple-choice questions on Commerce, Accountancy, Management and Finance; the Research, Actuary and Official Language streams have their own paper pattern set out in the advertisement.
- A candidate awaiting the result of the qualifying examination may appear in Phases I, II and III, but any offer to join is subject to producing documents evidencing the qualification within the time granted. No extension is permitted.
- Selection and appointment are provisional and subject to verification of the personal information submitted. Information found false or incorrect at any stage, or appointment secured by undue influence or unfair means, can lead to cancellation at any point in the candidate's career with PFRDA.
- PFRDA reserves the right to fill or not fill any or all posts, to terminate the process at any stage, and to increase or decrease the number of posts, with no vested right accruing to applicants.
- Qualifying at any stage does not by itself create a right to an appointment, which depends on the Authority's internal requirement.
- Apart from the reservation prescribed in the advertisement, no further reservation is available to any candidate.
- PFRDA warns applicants to be cautious about false information and promises regarding securing a post, and to report such practices to the Authority immediately.
