UP Police Constable 2025 — PET Qualifying Standards Announced (4.8 km/25 min Men, 2.4 km/14 min Women)

UPPRPB has published the process and qualifying standard for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of UP Police Constable Civil Police and Equivalent Posts Direct Recruitment-2025 — the exam advertised on 31 December 2025. Eligibility

• Applies to candidates found successful in document scrutiny and the physical standard test (height/chest) under UP Police Constable Civil Police and Equivalent Posts Direct Recruitment-2025.
• The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is qualifying in nature: male candidates must complete a 4.8 km run within 25 minutes; female candidates must complete a 2.4 km run within 14 minutes.
• Candidates who do not complete the run within the prescribed time are not eligible for recruitment — there is no partial score.
• PET is conducted by a district-level committee: a Deputy Collector nominated by the District Magistrate, a Deputy Superintendent of Police nominated by the Commissioner of Police/Senior Superintendent of Police/Superintendent of Police, and a Medical Officer nominated by the district's Chief Medical Officer, with SC/OBC representation on the committee ensured per government orders where applicable.
• Manual timing is not permitted. Standardised electronic timing equipment with CCTV coverage and biometric backup is used to ensure accuracy, transparency and to guard against impersonation.
• The list of successful and unsuccessful candidates is declared under the joint signatures of the committee members and displayed at the test venue's notice board at the end of each day.
• PET admit cards will be made available in due course on the Board's website, http://uppbpb.gov.in, for candidates to download themselves; the date and time of the PET will also be announced there.
• Candidates must bring their admit card plus a valid original photo ID (e-Aadhaar, Passport or Driving Licence) and the original Aadhaar card to the test centre, and follow the instructions printed on the admit card exactly.
• No date beyond the fixed last date/reserve day will be rescheduled for any candidate under any circumstances, including for women citing pregnancy or any other reason.
• A candidate who misses their given date and time may submit a written representation, in person or through a representative, directly to the district committee on the day of the test itself, giving detailed reasons — representations sent by post, email or any other means, or given to anyone other than the constituted committee, will not be considered. If accepted, only one additional opportunity is granted, on some other date already fixed for the PET or on the last date/reserve day; if that is also missed, the candidate is treated as failed with no further chance.
• Consuming steroids, stimulants or intoxicants during the PET is treated as misconduct; the Board will get this verified and can cancel the candidature besides taking other legal action.
• A candidate who fails to meet the prescribed standard is simply unsuccessful — no second attempt and no appeal is available on health or any other ground.

How to Apply

1. This is a process notice for candidates already in the recruitment — there is no fresh application here.
2. Keep checking http://uppbpb.gov.in for the PET date/time announcement and for your admit card, both to be released later.
3. Train to the stated standard: 4.8 km within 25 minutes for men, 2.4 km within 14 minutes for women.
4. Once released, download your admit card yourself from the Board's website and read its instructions carefully before the test day.
5. Carry your admit card, a valid original photo ID and your original Aadhaar card to the test centre; without these you risk not being allowed to test.
