UPSC CMS 2026 Written Result — 2,923 Qualify, Update Application Form by 21 September

Short Information

UPSC has declared the written result of the Combined Medical Services Examination 2026, and 2,923 candidates have qualified for the interview. Qualifying alone is not enough. Every qualified candidate must log in to upsconline.nic.in and submit the updated application form by 6:00 PM on 21 September 2026, even if nothing needs changing. Anyone who misses the deadline will not be allowed into the interview, and their candidature is liable to be cancelled.

Eligibility

• 2,923 roll numbers are listed as qualified for the Personality Test in the press note dated 1 September 2026.
• Candidature is provisional, subject to the candidate being found eligible in all respects.
• Under Rule 9(a)(ii) of the CMS Examination 2026 Rules, every qualified candidate must log in to upsconline.nic.in during the window and update their qualification status (appearing or appeared), with proof of passing the qualifying examination and supporting documents.
• In the same window, candidates can update postal address, higher qualifications, achievements, employment and service experience, service preferences (if qualified for both categories of posts), any service allocated from an earlier CMS, marital status, parental details, debarment information and the OBC/EWS annexure.
• Candidates who uploaded everything earlier and have nothing to change must still log in, verify and finally submit — this is what generates the e-summon letter for the interview.
• Original certificates of age, educational qualification, community and benchmark disability must be produced at the interview. A candidate who does not bring them will not be allowed before the board and will get no travel allowance.
• Mark-sheets will be put on the UPSC website only after the final result, and stay up for 30 days.

How to Apply

1. Open the written result PDF and search for your roll number.
2. If you have qualified, log in at upsconline.nic.in before 6:00 PM on 21 September 2026.
3. Update your qualification status and upload proof, and fill in the remaining sections of the application form.
4. Finally submit the form — this is compulsory even if you made no changes.
5. Keep your original certificates ready for the interview, and watch upsc.gov.in for the interview schedule and your e-summon letter.
