NEET UG Counselling 2026 — Revised Provisional Round 2 Result Out, Joining Closes 18 September

MCC has released the revised provisional seat allotment result for Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026 through Notice No. 20 of 12 September 2026. Read the word revised carefully — MCC says this result is only indicative, is subject to change, confers no right over the allotted seat, and cannot be challenged in a court of law. The instruction that follows from that is the one candidates most often ignore: do not go to the allotted college until the final result is declared. Once it is, the clock is short — the last date of joining for Round 2 is 18 September 2026 for both the All India Quota and state counselling, and the UG academic session begins on 15 September.

Eligibility

• The revised provisional result applies to Round 2 of UG Counselling 2026 — MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing seats handled by MCC.
• MCC states that the revised provisional result is only indicative in nature and subject to change.
• Candidates cannot claim any right over the seat shown in the revised provisional result.
• The revised provisional result cannot be challenged before a court of law.
• Any discrepancy had to be reported to MCC of DGHS up to 3:00 PM on 12 September 2026, and only through the Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System on the Candidate Login Portal — no other channel was accepted.
• Candidates are advised to approach the allotted college or institute only after the final result is declared, not on the strength of the provisional allotment.
• The last date of joining for Round 2 is 18 September 2026, the same for All India Quota, Deemed and Central Universities and for state counselling.
• Verification of joined candidates data is done on 19 September 2026 — by MCC for the All India Quota stream and by state DMEs or state counselling authorities for state counselling.
• The academic session for UG courses commences on 15 September 2026.
• MCC has directed participating institutes and colleges to treat all Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days, given the limited time available for counselling.
• The notice carries reference U-11011/07/2026-MEC and is Notice No. 20, dated 12 September 2026.

How to Apply

1. Log in to the MCC Candidate Login Portal and open your revised provisional Round 2 allotment.
2. Cross-check it against the full revised provisional allotment list published as a PDF on mcc.nic.in.
3. Wait for the final result. MCC asks candidates not to approach the allotted college or institute before it is declared.
4. Once the final result is out, complete joining formalities at the allotted institute by 18 September 2026 — there is no separate extension stated for AIQ or for state counselling.
5. Plan for the academic session starting 15 September 2026, which begins before the joining deadline closes.
6. Remember that the joined-candidate data is verified on 19 September, by MCC for AIQ seats and by the state authority for state-quota seats.
