Eligibility
- Educational qualification: Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
- The thirteen specified languages are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
- A candidate must be proficient in two of those thirteen. The language you apply against is the primary one, and the second is chosen from the remaining twelve.
- Proficiency in both languages must cover reading, writing and typing.
- You must provide valid documentary proof from a credible source of a typing speed of 40 words per minute or more, with more than 90% accuracy, in both languages.
- The claimed typing proficiency is then verified through a prescribed practical skill test.
- A candidate who does not have English typing proficiency at the time of joining is required to acquire it within six months of joining.
- The engagement is contractual, initially for five years, extendable on satisfactory performance and continuing organisational requirement.
- Place of work is NTA premises, reporting to the Joint Director or another competent authority as designated.
- It is a full-time engagement and extended hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
- Desirable qualifications: working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; basic proficiency in PDF handling, scanning, document conversion and file-format management; relevant experience in typing, data entry or document processing; experience in proofreading, editing or language-quality checking, particularly of translated or multilingual content; and experience in DTP, document composition, pagination or structured document formatting.
- The role supports NTA operations with bilingual typing, document processing, language support and administrative work, working closely with domain experts and NTA officers.
