RPSC Senior Scientific Officer & Assistant Director (Home Dept) Exam — 13 to 16 October, Now Pen-and-Paper

Short Information

RPSC has fixed subject-wise dates from 13 to 16 October 2026 for the Assistant Director (DNA Division) and Senior Scientific Officer recruitments in the Home Department. The press note makes a change candidates should prepare for: these papers were planned as computer-based tests (CBRT), and will now be held offline, on pen and paper, for administrative reasons. Several divisions share a date, so check your own division's shift in the table below.

Eligibility

• Covers the Assistant Director and Senior Scientific Officer Competitive Examination 2025 (Home Department) and the Senior Scientific Officer Competitive Examination 2026 (Home Department).
• The exams were earlier proposed in CBRT (computer-based recruitment test) mode. RPSC says they will now be held offline in pen-and-paper mode, for administrative reasons.
• Each paper runs for two and a half hours, in either the morning shift (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM) or the afternoon shift (3:00 PM to 5:30 PM).
• The press note does not give an admit card date. Watch the RPSC website for it.

How to Apply

1. Find your post and division in the dates table and note your date and shift.
2. Prepare for an OMR/pen-and-paper exam rather than a computer-based one.
3. Keep checking rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in for the admit card and exam-centre details closer to the date.
