Railway Recruitment Boards have opened CEN 05/2026 for 590 paramedical posts across all RRBs, and 365 of them are Nursing Superintendent posts open to GNM or B.Sc Nursing holders. Pharmacist (Entry Grade) needs a B.Pharm or Pharm.D with registration under the Pharmacy Act — a D.Pharm is not listed. You may apply to only one RRB. Applying more than once, to the same RRB or different ones, gets every application rejected and can bar you from future RRB exams.

Eligibility
- Category-wise, the 590 posts break up as UR 255, SC 106, ST 69, OBC 113 and EWS 46, with 49 reserved for ex-servicemen. RRB-wise and zone-wise figures are in Annexure B and may go up or down.
- Qualifications must be held by 14 October 2026. Candidates awaiting a final result are not eligible to apply.
- Date of birth must match the Matriculation/SSLC certificate; no later change is allowed.
- SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates applying against UR vacancies do not get age relaxation.
- Serving Railway Group C and erstwhile Group D staff and substitutes with at least 3 years' service can apply up to 40 (UR/EWS), 43 (OBC-NCL) or 45 (SC/ST) years.
- Widowed, divorced or judicially separated women not remarried can apply up to 35 (UR/EWS), 38 (OBC-NCL) or 40 (SC/ST) years.
- Selection is a single-stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination. Medical standards differ by post (B1, C1 or C2).
- The CBT has 100 questions in 90 minutes: Professional Ability 70, General Awareness 10, Arithmetic with General Intelligence & Reasoning 10, General Science 10.
- Negative marking is one-third of a mark for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, 25% for ST.
- Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification, and ties are broken by age (older first), then alphabetically by given name.
How to Apply
- Download the detailed CEN 05/2026 from rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and check Annexure A (post qualifications) and Annexure B (RRB and zone-wise vacancies).
- Choose one RRB only, and in it indicate your preferences for railway zones and posts. Posts you do not opt for are treated as unwillingness, and options cannot be changed later.
- Create an account and fill the online application. The details in 'Create an Account' and the chosen RRB cannot be modified afterwards.
- A live photo is captured during the application, and scanned documents must be uploaded as specified in para 14.5 of the CEN.
- Submit by 11:59 PM on 14 October 2026 and pay the fee by 16 October 2026.
- Corrections can be made from 17 to 26 October 2026 on payment of the modification fee.
- PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe must enter scribe details between 27 and 31 October 2026.
